You know what someone needs to study? Weed's effect on metabolism.
I don't doubt that you're a munchaholic, but you're a pretty scrawny dude. No offense, I'm at least as scrawny, and I also go through some grubaholic phases.
It wouldn't surprise me at all to find out that chronic (all-day-every-day) cannabis smokers are much less obese, on average, than the rest of America. I want to know what about the endocannabinoid sytem causes this

I hadn't read that, but it certainly confirms my personal experience.
@ Mel: I don't think it would have been studied, since it wouldn't have been recognized until at least the mid-'70s, after which point reasonable guidelines on research had gone out the window and scientific pseudo-prohibition has been in full force since.
It's hard enough to get permission to study the apparently near-miraculous anti-tumor properties of cannabis.
