Everybody wants something to be proud of 
My ARM-based children and their arsenal of code libraries are my small source of pride. Most people see little shitty mini-computers with overly specific software, but I'm proud of them.
And I live in a tiny place, so I guess the situation is roughly equivalent to a '92 Corvette out front of my single wide. It really synergizes with the old truck up on concrete blocks next to it.

No one is judging.. I get the proud thing, I really do, but I can laugh..
For instance.. you got yourself an 800.00 1982 Caprice with 4,000.00 rims. C'mon..
Last week I had a job in the ghetto. It was your typical ghetto.. chicks working the corners, junkies throwing up while waiting on their guy to bring out their shit, and 10 dudes chillin on one stoop while drinking their 40s.
This house I was at was run down and trashed like no other, but parked in the driveway was a 2018 BMW x7 and newer Lexus... This guy was no a drug dealer or up to no good. He was tacky and nerdy as fuck. Prob gay too..
Now, those BMWs are expensive as FUCK ALL! Like really expensive.
His house was a 30k 40k house.
See where I'm going with this...
