I'm picking up an ounce of Grandaddy purple tomorrow!

hi,

I finally found a dispensary/provider that grows and sells Granddaddy Purple in my area!
So I will be picking up an ounce tomorrow.
Has anyone here ever tried this strain?
I've heard nothing but great things about it in the reviews I've read and seen on YouTube.
I'm someone who really likes indica strains so I am thinking that I will really enjoy GDP.
it has an average THC level of 23% and goes as high as 30+%.
The nugs are very dense, thick, hard, and have purple coloration throughout, not to mention a nice dusting of trichomes.
If anyone has any experience with Granddaddy purple and would like to share, I would love to hear about it.

hmm, I've never heard of purple creeper.
But if it's a purple strain then I'm sure its really good.

I thought it was guaranteed to be good if it's purple.

u can tell by the crystallized nugs if its good and they let u smell it. the one i used to get was floral and calming to pain and insomnia but unfortunately caused pretty deep paranoia.

some buds leaves turn purple under intense light

some others turn purple in the late stages in a cold climate

it doesn't really mean anything

I also have schizophrenia.
We need to be careful about administering ourselves cannabis.
It's gotta be the right strain, the right environment, the right frame of mind, the right quantity, etc.

I have it too.  I've found that high CBD strains are best if I'm going to be consuming a lot.  CBD actually has antipsychotic properties, so my goal is to grow enough so that I can take 1 gram of CBD a day.

I have severe schizophrenia but I still smoke weed occasionally.
I have noticed that sometimes it aggravates the symptoms of my schizophrenia.
In other words I might get extremely paranoid, get delusional thoughts, and not trust the people that I normally would trust with my whole heart.
It sucks, but I've also noticed that it depends on a few different factors, such as the strain that I'm smoking, where and when I'm smoking, my frame of mind during the experience, and who I'm smoking/not smoking with.
Sometimes I have the most incredible and benign experiences smoking weed, and other times I will have overly negative experiences.
I have yet to figure out which strains are suitable for me, and which ones are incompatible with me.
It's an ongoing process learning about myself and the different effects weed can have on me, and this is from after 20+ years of experience smoking.

Interesting. thanks for actually elaborating. Do you guys mess around with any other substances?

I only ask because I get those kind of feelings/emotions/thoughts just about every day but I wouldn't necessarily call it schizophrenia. But I guess I can't understand the full scope of the episode or feelings each one of you experiences.
