You can try to cut some good buds out of it, just be very selective with which buds you take. It's safer to just toss the whole thing.
It sucks, I lost most of my early flowering buds to rot this year. Still struggling to put up a greenhouse for the rest.

Thanks, so how would I go about doing that? Cutting out the white parts and selecting buds at least 1 to 2 inches away from the mold sites? Have you been selective or have you always tossed the buds?
If I dry these buds in an area with other buds, how likely is it that the rot would spread to them, if at all?

I either cut out the rot and anything near it or cut out the good buds and toss the rest, depending on how bad it is.
I doubt it will spread to other buds if your drying conditions are optimal.

So I ended up throwing that whole cola away. 
It was riddled with white mold and also had what seemed to be yeast growing on it.
I was able to save half of my other cola, however. 
I've gone ahead and started harvesting all of my buds in order to prevent more mold from growing:
It's in a closet with a high velocity fan pointed upwards towards the wall to the left of the buds. There's good airflow as the closet door has slits running down the length of it.
Thanks for your help throughout, it's appreciated. I have one more question for you: how do you personally cure your bud? My plan is to dry until the buds feel crunchy and the stems break when I attempt to bend them. Then, I'll be transferring the buds to quart sized Mason jars. I'm going to fill them half way up. I'll burp for around 10 minutes three times a day for the first week. Then I'll burp for 10 minutes once a day for every few days for about a month. Does that sound good? Any suggestions?
Also if anyone else has any other input, that'd be great. I just want to get an idea of how most people are curing their buds. This place is pretty dead though, LOL.
