 confused about male and female plants

The green balls that is from male says to be removed asap.
Do they mean to use for example a scalpell to cut away the balls or to remove the male plant so it's not anywhere near the female plants?
Also, if I would happen to get male plants, Should I just throw it away after it's done flowering? Male plants are no good for getting high on?
It also seem confusing because the female things that are equivallent of the male balls look like the male balls but just that they are opened and have that white thing sticking out.
And what should I do if I detect a male ball too late and it's already opened up?
Another thing that confuses me is that they show a picture of a male ball that's growing on a female plant.
That confuses me because if male balls can grow on female plants then what is the difference between male and female plants?

Remove the plant.
You throw away the male plant before it flowers, that way you don't get seeds in your weed.
Well some plants may have hermaphroditic properties, and can either have both sexes, or throw out what are called nanners from the female bud itself.
Buy this book. Seriously.

If you only have 1 plant keep it CUZ it will get you hundreds of seeds

Please explain how 1 male plant will get you any seeds.
