Using Air conditioner/dehumidifier water
    #818487 - 08/24/16 01:20 PM (3 months, 12 days ago)

So I was curious too all of those who use air conditioners runoff as your water supply what type of conditioning do you apply before using? Is it true to say the basic main and only reason for doing this is its RO (or RO type conditioning?)

your not suppose to because they also pull spores and whatnot out of the air. The water is dirty.

Reverse Osmosis is where they press the water against a plastic film with micro-tiny holes that mostly only water molecules are able to squeeze through. It takes 2-3 times the amount of water you get out of the system.

Try adding a tablespoon of cooking oil to your bong water to keep it clean. The oil soluble resin stays off the glass.

boiling the water for 15 minutes is what they recommend when you drink water out of a stream. I dunno if it'll be worth bringing water up to boiling, it'll probably cost more in electricity than if you were to buy water from the water company.

Don't even start for two reasons.

1. You have found a way to make even watering the plant a pain in the ass

2. You'll just stop doing it once you realize how needless it is.

Lol I just used the water straight out the ac... Ph corrected of course ... Do you got good tap water in your area Magash? I thought high ppm (certain) *typing on an iPad don't make fun*... Could bind too roots (sodium?) and cause them to slow their absorption of nutrients?

Why does George Cervantes author of "The Cannabis Encyclopedia" strongly disagree (at least from my view) he recommends microwaving rain water to eliminate said things yet he .. Well lemme just post a picture...

BTW ... FUCKING PHENOMINAL book!

Edit: uhg I might have cut off part about microwaving rainwater

It is a floor model AC and I cleaned the shit outran all bents/filters

In some plants yes but with the marijuana plant if your water is bad enough to do this your water is going to be in the news.

If you wanna nuke your rain water go for it but when was the last time you went outside and saw mass plant death cause of the rain water? Considering nobody is having this problem. Besides if the rain water is bad enough to have to nuke it you'd probably be better not using it. Then again in a week from now as I morn the loss of my outdoor garden cause of toxic rain water I'll think I should have listened.:derfase:

Cervantes likes to contradict himself from time to time. First he says its very clean, but then says it can trap smell... which means its pulling SOMETHING out of the air with it. It could have a lot of stuff in it that do not show up as a dissolved solid (TDS reading) because they do not effect the EC.

https://sawyer.com/products/sawyer-squeeze-filter-system-sp131/

a $25 water filter might be all most people need. Get a garden hose on/off and screw it right in, using the valve as a pressure regulator. 1/4 ID hose on the other end. It filters 100,000 gallons and requires little maintenance. Sold in a lot of places that sell camping stuff.
