you guys still here?
what up.So im starting my summer beans this month i'm only going to run 400 watts for the light. I want it to be as efficient as possible.
i am planing on using the dual HPS/MH combo bulb
and running it in a ballast a 1000 watt ballast set to 400. IS there any problem with what i am saying?

From what I've read dimming the bulb puts more stress on it.

Also those bulbs suck. Everything on one side gets MH and everything on the other gets HPS.
Get a coated bulb these give a light that is half MH and HPS spectrum for every plant.
Or you can get one of each bulb and use one of these
