I've been told that the dark shatter has a high % concentration then that of the lighter kinds. Is this true? From what I understand the lighter shatter has a higher % of butane still in it. Some answers would be nice  lol sorry if this is in the wrong thread >_<

No, that is completely wrong. The color is determined more by the terpenes, plant fats, chlorophyll and also the amount of heat it is subjected to.

Shatter is arguably more adulterated with butane than honey comb wax. If you purge shatter larger under more negative pressure it turns to a honey comb texture.
Problem with a lot of wax is it's not purged like that and is just whipped... There a guy on YouTube from Washington that really experimented with this a while back and has a neat channel now
