question for gun owners
    #789895 - 08/16/15 08:18 PM (8 years, 7 months ago)

a hypothetical question if you will.

lets say youre out and about with your wife or friends or family and you pull into a parking spot or up to a drive through or anywhere really while in your car. unknowingly you cut someone off. well this person becomes so irate that he pulls his gun and fires on your car. he only shoots a few times and no one is hit.

do you pull your gun and shoot back or do you speed off?

what would you do if someone starts shooting at you in a public place?

Why would you have your gun with you if you weren't willing to use it?

What mag said.  This is why the protection excuse is bullshit.  You owning a gun did not prevent gun violence.  Not having a waiting time to purchase a gun wouldn't have prevented it either.  Having a random gun fight with your family in the car isn't my idea of a good time. Solo, it would have been fair game.

Because getting in a shootout with your family in the car is about as retarded as it gets.

each situation is different. in no way shape or form am i afraid to shoot and kill someone if my and or my families life is in danger, but being a responsible gun owner also means being aware of your surroundings.

if there are other options besides using your gun then by all means, do so. i feel that your gun should be used in direct life threatening situations and last resort situations.

Id call the cops, get the license plate, and drive away so my family doesnt get hit.

If i was solo then id call the cops, and tell them to hurry the fuck up cuz ima be following this dude and defending myself by shooting back.

Thing is, you gotta be a good shot. Last thing you want is a stray bullet hits a bystander.

Also, a similar situation happened to me once and a guy passed my friends car and threw shit at our window. I wouldve fired back if i had a gun at the time.

My buddy just started dating this ditzy bitch in the spring.  a month ago he borrowed his dad boat.  He drove his dads truck pulling the boat, while she followed in his truck.  Fuckin chick was texting and not paying attention and ended up smashing into the boat in front of her, with his truck.

Fucked up his truck, his dads boat, and the hitch pop'd off, also fucking up the back of his dad truck too!

Totally unrelated.  but funny story.

It would depend on the situation. Wouldn't want to harm anyone unless I fear for mine or someone else's life. I have good aim too.

everyone i know who shoots claims to have good aim... i can hit the target. i can even walk it up...oooh impressive right?

i am not ashamed to say that my shooting could use more practice. i dont get to shoot as much as i like, but i do shoot more than others. i have a friend who has owned his gun for a few years now and has only shot one clip.

i guess my point is, i can shoot better than you, son! im a gangster.

So it's safe to say that all the gun owners (or would-be gun owners) like to fantasize about shooting other people.

Just follow the fucker home and run him over after he gets out.
