That's nothing to scoff at, man. I did an 18 day trip in the mountains with just tents and food a few years back, but no serious hiking. We mainly just stayed by the river getting fucked up.

That sounds fun as shit.
Yeah the last hiking trip I did was pretty intense, climbing a few different mountains in the Adirondacks.
There was a lot of scrambling... which is sort of like frequent small rock climbs.
A trip like the one in the video is a whole other animal.
A shit ton of planning goes into hiking the length of the U.S. West Coast for 5 months.
You need to have people who come and meet you at designated points for resupply like every 10-14 days.

Cool video, that trail would be nuts.
I really wanna do the John Muir trail asap.
This doc should still be on netflix, it's really good.

My buddy is doing the John Muir Trail next month. He says he's going to do it all (210 miles) in 2 weeks. Wish I could go, summer is my busiest time though.

John Muir looks pretty awesome.
I started watching that video a few days ago.
Couldn't get into it, I wanted to see more of the trail and hear more relevant stuff about it.
But the whole thing seemed to be those people talking about themselves...
