I have done sensory deprivation tanks before. They were probably not 100% sound proof, but close enough for my purposes. The tanks were also light shielded and you floated in a salt bath to minimize sense of touch. I'd typically start hallucinating after about 15 minutes and things could get intense, like they reported in the 30-45 minute range. 60 minutes was about as long as I would go, but that was only for practical purposes - not because it was too intense. Maybe after hours it could get really confusing, but most hallucinations were like seeing color rays or silhouettes of familiar objects where there obviously should not be any light to cast a shadow. I heard ambient noises like cars running, crickets, birds, and so forth. It wasn't like stepping into fantasy cartoon-land or something.

On. Have pretty bad tinnitus so I doubt if I could do it. I have to have a fan running near me pretty much constantly.

I have gotten thru an entire shroom trip where my whole body was snakes slithering around and coming out of my mouth so I think I could do more than 45 minutes in there, but who knows.
