question about C99 strain
    #776875 - 04/24/15 06:56 AM (8 years, 10 months ago)

Quote:

Female Seeds C99 The C’99 is the holy grail of the cannabis strains. As she resembles the high and the taste of an exceptional sweet landrace sativa, which normally takes half a year to flower. But the C99 flowers in 7 - 8 weeks. On top of that the buds are quite sugared. This new batch is a cross of two exceptional basic pheno types, the Grapefruit and the Pineapple. Both derived from the original Brothers Grimm C99 It matures in 4 weeks from seed, which is much faster than the original C99. (6 - 8 weeks) One not to miss!

Im confused about how long flowering is supposed to be for C99 :confused2:

dont sativas take longer than others..  :blazed:

Yeah but they're basically saying they worked on it and its a quick finisher that acts like a sativa in the pipe.

"Resembles the high & taste" of sativa.

Might be a sweet indica dominant

Im growing this "martian kush" and scratching my head like..
"Why the fuck did they call it kush"
When I think "kush" I think chunky frosty hard buds. Misleading.

It grows like a thai or something. Big fluffy top with stacked calyxes that remain white. Never really hardening or...finishing?  Super quick in veg. would be killer for sea of green. I havent smoked it though but the dude who gave it to me said "it tastes... uh.. unique" and he didnt look pleased about it per  se'.

Im curious about this c99 because I keep coming across it. Must be worth a hoot

so C99 will finish in 4 weeks or 8 weeks?  :confused2:

4 weeks sounds like a bunch of :poop:

Im used to 8-9 week strains/Indicas :stoner:

Most yeah, but there are some fast finishing sativas out there.
Like the south African sativa used in the original White Widow, now known as Black Widow was said to finish in eight weeks.

As fr this c99 finishing in 4 weeks, I'd have to see it to believe it.

:greenthumb::leafsmoke:

Im just trying to figure out where I wana start, I have all these xmas contest seeds that I have to go thru and wanted to keep 2 mothers out of them all so I was thinking a king of the hill type grow off :hehehe:

I pop all the seeds of one strain and keep a clone back from each one and flower them to see which one is best of that strain then move on to the next strain.  repeat the process and only replace the mother if one is "better" than the previous strain.

just keep doing that until I have my 2 fav mothers to run for a while :gethigh:

its going to take me a long time to run thru all my seeds..  :stoner:

oh the 1st world problems we deal with..  and all this smoke I have to toke on :gethigh:

Cinderella 99 isn't a landrace sativa.

It's derived from bagseed from Jack herer, the specific offspring was called Princess.

It's Jack Herer x unknown (mother) x Shiva Skunk (father) known as P50 the resulting offspring was back crossed to the original seed or Princess for 4 generations resulting in a plant that was 94% homogeneous for Princess traits instead of calling it Cinderella 94 they called it 99.

That is to say that each of the resulting offspring will have more chromosomes contributed from Princess. This isn't to say that Cinderella will necessarily be 94% phenotypically similar to Princess as Princess may have many recessive genes that aren't displayed phenotypically. This is because Princess being a cross of Jack Herer and some unknown plant that ejaculated on her is likely very heterozygous. There's a possibility that Princess was a S1 of a particular Jack herer phenotype as the unknown plant could be pollen from the same plant. Really it's impossible to tell.
