How are they looking?
    #767678 - 01/28/15 06:27 PM (9 years, 1 month ago)

so i flushed three days ago... then fed them a couple days ago...
i feel like the color may be starting to come back, but after the
flush they definitely turned lighter green on the top growth

these plants had hot soil for some reason, and i flushed with 2.5
gallons probably and the pots are 2.5 (i know you're supposed to
flush with more, but the water that was coming out was clear.

am using GH organic line of nutes

pH should be adjusted now, i took a reading of one of the plants and it was 6.5 on the money

so yeah. on the 25th i flushed, i then fed a day or two later.

you are looking through the door of the tent, there is one plant in
front, and one in the back by the scrubber.

think the plants need a heavier feeding come next watering?
instructions on the bottle say use bloom nutes every watering, i
am using 3 tbs of it per gallon which is 'medium' right in
between light feeding of 2 tbs and heavy at 4

help me figure out what's most likely going on here! i am 12 days into flower

will add, the plant in the back had a serious Potassium deficiency.. lots of easily snapped off fan leaves, and the color was leaching and all the typical symptoms of K deficiency, mixed with N and P def. as well.

the mid growth for this plant has returned to a normal shade of green, however the newer growth is really light green and lanky

I'm really sorry about the lighting. i'll try to upload a better picture here in a little bit so you can really see the coloring, if that helps?

Sorry if it seems as if there is a lack of er, content or point to this post.. i am really just trying to figure out if my plants look OK

Here are the new shots under 6500k lighting

first up: the plant that seems to be a real trooper, not too many problems, maybe a slight overdose on N a while ago...

--

this plant is the one that seems to have the K deficiency, had a hard time with the pH on this one.

I get that slight crinkle a lot too using foxfarm soil on young clones.
Usually means the nutes are a tad high and its doing tons of work rapidly...(or so I believe)

doesn't the crinkle have to do with heat as well?

Maybe there are different kinds of crinkle type things. There's really a lot of conflicting theoretical information and ideas, from what I've read.
The reason I know personally when mine do it is that I've seen it get worse when the nutrients were a tad higher. It's like a pre mutation phase thing. When the plant is also able to absorb lots of the nutrients and work hard. I think with a similar nutrient overload if the plant wasn't in a vigorous growth state it'd show burned tips, ect. , but when the plant is in a vigorous growth state it will develop curled mutated branches. In the lower levels of this, crinkling.
Just an observation of mine. There are probably lots of crinkle reasons

i wonder why i only really see it on the main shoots/blooms, the newest and highest growth, because if i were to look under where there are side shoots coming out, that growth looks a lot better... but it seems like the highest/newest growth just needs a minute to fill out. the leaves eventually look normal after they've developed properly. is that in your case as well?

Mostly. I know the newest growth is where the work is, and where the highest nutrient uptake is.

Honestly though, i looked at one of the plants and i think it may have tobacco mosaic virus... it would have been transfered via my hands when i wasn't thinking beforehand one night.

there are some of the new growth that aren't really discolored, all though many leaves look kind of washed out (from what i believe is lack of npk from ph problems considering it was 4 at one time)

it's some of the newer er, shoots, coming up from the mid section of the plant... they look wrinkled but in a different way than on the top of the plant... have you ever seen or dealt with TMV before?

& this pic is what, whe tobacco virus??
Looks like more of that nutrient mutation. it even has the edge curl starting...

You know, a good solid tip for plants having issues is to put them temporarily in a place of reduced lighting while they recover and normalize...
