like legalizing weed? he's also against money in politics and hates banks if im not mistaken. he sounds like a good guy to me from everything ive seen of him.
well i was more talking about his economic platform, raising min wage to a living wage, unions, investing in rebuilding the infrastructure and creating a lot of jobs, etc.
guy is articulate, passionate, and from what i can see has got integrity.
id like to see how this pans out but he's gonna have a hard time if he does run i think, since he's independent right now he would need to pull a lot of votes from from the democrats.
it's a long way out but i'm interested to see how things develop.

Learning to love life by living through loss and mistakes Lessons learned then gradually surfacing, Letting go, stripping naked to scream I am not perfect nor do I strive to be, I am alive in this world of face first falls and public breakdowns I'm a retarded, disfigured clown Dying to be heard through the simple art of letting this heavy wall finally fall I'm an equal being of no race, or color, a hallucination if you will Sneaking into the lives of strangers, and letting them fall apart to a new rhythm just to feel better

I've heard of him, and never really read up on him until today. Sounds like my kind of Politican, though he faces an uphill battle all the way.
FYI, I've been voting (95% Democrat) in almost every election (federal, state, city, county, schools etc. ) since I registered to vote in 1975. It's my civic duty. Politics is something I love, (and hate.)
In 1990...Sanders became the first independent elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 40 years, since Frazier Reams of Ohio... ...In1998, Sanders became the only Congressman to describe himself as a socialist...
...Sanders voted against the resolutions authorizing the use of force against Iraq in 1991 and 2002, and opposed the 2003 invasion of Iraq. He voted for the initial 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists[24] that has been cited as the legal justification for controversial military actions since the September 11 attacks.[25] Sanders also voted for a non-binding resolution expressing support for troops at the outset of the invasion of Iraq, but gave a floor speech criticizing the partisan nature of the vote and the George W. Bush administration's actions in the run-up to the war. On April 7, 2006, about the investigation of what turned out to be a leak of CIA agent Valerie Plame's identity by a Pentagon official, Sanders said, "The revelation that the President authorized the release of classified information in order to discredit an Iraq war critic should tell every member of Congress that the time is now for a serious investigation of how we got into the war in Iraq and why Congress can no longer act as a rubber stamp for the President." ...
Wss never bright enough to really get into and fully understand anything that involves politics.
