I live near the ocean and may have access to shit loads of im sure various species of kelp. Ive also come into a huge amount of space to use and the idea of collecting this stuff after they dredge the bays and harbors came up. Theres literally hills made on the beach of the stuff every other year at various times up the coast. Now im curious how worth the time it may be or even lucrative to gather it up and process it for use? I see drying it and grinding into a meal as a possibility or blending to a slurry and heating the good stuff out of the plant as another. Obviously some more research will need to be done but what do you guys think?
I can't even imagine how you extract that stuff. I Feel like seaweed liquids are cheap enough and hopefully sourced well enough that it's not worth doing on your own. Your call though. I bet it's a hell of a lot smellier when you do it yourself.
