When I saw the title I thought you were announcing that you changed your name...
I use one by Blue Lab that works exactly the same way.
I use the EC cause that is world wide. Now there is gonna be some other setting and two PPM scales. Most American nutrient directions go by the x700 scale and Euro's go by the x500.

If you're low add nutes, if you're high add water to correct ec or ppm.

They won't be to high in plain water unless you have hard water. They sell nutrients just for hard water but you can adjust around it if needed.

Ok so I have been using my wizard dipstick now and a little confused?
I mean ,I put the end in plan water I get no reading.
Now when I add nuts and ph and everything then test its like blinking in between
.7-1 ppm cf
1120-1260
then theres the other side that reads
.5-1 ppm ec 800-1.6 - 900-1.8
what does that mean? my tap water has no ec? to start with?
And are those readings good or bad ? dont really know.
Thanks for any help Budgrower

the top scale is american and the bottom euro.
heres my understanding from using my ppm meter for my hydro setup
your plant can only take a certain ppm or it will burn (overfeeding etc) each strain is a little diff but during veg you achieve a certain ppm and its a bit higher during flowering, learning the limits of your plants is key to pushing it to grow to its potential.
most feeding directions will have ppm on it for each stage of growth plus the numerous recommendations online.
what I do is once Ive feed them (fresh reservoir/feeding) I take a ppm/ph reading and take note of what they are (as long as they arent too high or low then adjust as needed) then a week later I take the ppm/ph reading again to see what they moved. if the ppm dropped I feed to move the ppm back to the start number if it was higher I dilute/top off the rez.
you need to know the general area of the feeding limits to push your strain to its potential.
pen and paper
thats how I do for hydro anyway, dont know if that helps you any

If your talking about two lights blinking then the numbers fall almost exactly between the two lights. If you had all odd number lights starting with 3 and the 3 and the 5 lights were blinking then you'd be safe saying the numbers are in the 4 range.
