I still remember the first day they sent me to school on it.
2nd grade and they gave it to me the second they dropped me off. I remember sitting at my desk when my vision started going blurry. I then get up in the middle of class and began walking like a robot back and forth. I would walk straight into a wall and bounce off purposely. I remember the teacher telling all the students to please ignore me. About 10 minutes later they removed me from the room and drove me back to the hospital. I don't remember the rest of that day...
That whole exp reminds me of a dissacosiative(sp?)

Math was always easy for me, just shit school and parents who weren't really aware how much they could know exactly what my assignments were. I didn't always get my own book, and in 7th grade I was only one point on the ACT away from being able to get into any state college. I just didn't care once I knew I could slide by with the bare minimum and still be smarter than most of my peers. Definitely lost an opportunity to gain a few IQ points over my peers.
My mom was hospitalized huge chunks of basically every year 5th grade through like freshman year of college. It probably affected teenage me more than I prefer to admit. Mostly I just played video games and watched anime all the time, would play xbox live until like 4am the first like 6 years live was out.

Yeah. It is what it is. Kinda wish I was treated properly and not just labeled adhd and thrown back into the public school system.
To be fair, I was extremely hyper. More than the other "adhd" kiddies. I also wish I would have learned the value of ritlin...

If it got you wired you didnt have ADHD. For kids that really do have ADHD it has the opposite effect, it calms them down. My gf's 3 kids all have ADHD and all are absolutely insane when they forget to take their meds. Is it over-diagnosed? For sure but some kids really do need it.

That's exactly what it did to me after the first few times. It didn't start to work until about 3rd grade. I remember being in and out of the hospital more than school when I was 7. Bunch of studies and group time. Shit was weird, but I didn't mind because they always had all sorts of toys. The kids that were apart of group time I think were there just to fill in space. I think I was the main focus of things. I also remember trying all sorts of dif meds and dif amounts.
What's even more fucked up, something I didn't realize till I was older. No matter what was going on, my eyes would start to get heavy by 9pm and I don't ever remember staying up past 930. I think my parents/ doc was giving me shit to sleep too. Between the "adhd" and ritilin sleep was prob non existent...
