I got a crown once in a pound of brown Mexican pot. It was fun to break apart and smoke. It was dramatic when I opened the bag and found the crown.

The crown is the top cola. I used to get footlong spears from the end of branches, too, but the crown was spectacular.

Those aren't mine but thought it would be relevant to this thread  .
I've seen some decent sized colas before, but I never get much herb at a time so I pretty much never get huge buds. Only thing with buying a huge cola is all the weight of the stem/stalk, unless that's factored out. I don't see why someone would be selling a main stalk/cola all intact anyways.

I dont think that was a cola in your mexican brick weed, i think it was the corner of the block. 
for real though, yeah i've gottan some good buds before.

I saw a pic of a crown that covered this guy's head in the pic. It was the Acapulco Gold strain. Outdoor grows make the biggest crown colas.
