Plant Flowering at 2" Tall?!
    #683013 - 08/25/13 10:03 AM (10 years, 7 months ago)

I have two of these.  They are both around 2" tall and are flowering.  there are circumstances behind their growth that were beyond the growers control (he had to leave the state for several weeks and almost lost the two to negligence).

What will be the outcome of these two flowering at a small height?  They are two months old, but are just small.

Well the result will be a small yield.

Now they can also revert back to veg on their own, depending on conditions.

They are growing outdoors.  Our summer will end the end of September.  For two months old, they should have been about 6" tall by now.  They are Sugar Mango Ryder, an autoflower.  He does not usually grow autoflower, but for "reasons" he grew autos this summer.

What kind of conditions would be necessary for them to revert back to veg?

I've always wondered with autos what would happen if at the end of harvest you left the branches and just kept the lights going? It seems unlikely, but they could then go through another veg phase before they flower again - given that the vegging and flowering cycles are regulated within the plant and the plant doesn't just die naturally at the end of it's flowering phase..

I do not think he meant to grow autos (long story).  In fact, he is a seasoned outdoor grower and I think he even FIMD them thinking they were Papaya.  That might explain their small stature.

Maybe I'll come back in a month with pics.
