 Mole killing

I got a few moles on my property (just over an acre). Those lil buggers are diggin up huge mounds of dirt everywhere. Its an eye sore. and my lawnmower dont like it.
I would leave poison... but i got dogs that have been digging at the holes (they are on the hunt for those bastards too). I was told all traps are illegal here as well (except rat and mouse traps)....
Anyone here have any experience on killing these bastards? or ideas

You can get these at lowe's or home depot.
I can't imagine them being considered an illegal trap...but if so, you can always do what this guy did:

Exterminators will pump their tunnel system full of gas, and then ignite it. BOOM, problem solved.

I crush moth balls into near dust and spread it around. Seems I do it every couple of years, but it does the trick. It doesn't kill them, they are just sensitive to the smell.

it also doesn't sound nearly as fun or video worthy as a underground rodent tunnel exploding.
i would use a flammable liquid and gas, just for the overkill.

step the hill down with ur food, have a look for it every now and than.. when u see that they are digging again u get ur shotgun, slowley walk up to the hill and when the earth again moves u shot.
We do that at home
