Depends. If you want more even canopy, don't do that; but if you want less stretchy branches go for it.

Won't hurt the plant, but branches grow upward if they don't get enough light (I.e. blocked by leaf)

so would that help increase more bud yield if I do that to keep the stretching down?

No not at all, that would be better if you have space restrictions. (Don't want stretching)

It's like the opposite of training, which you should start doing btw. If you don't, the branches won't be level, so less light will be absorbed overall.

Just bend the top coala over and tie it down to the pot.

well here are some more updated pics.. the girls are getting big. They blew up sense last night when I water/feed them .. gave them 8ml of liquid karma, 4ml of pureblend tea, and 2ml of cns17 grow nutes. Im still going light on then grow nutes sense I had transplanted the girls in to a big pot of fox farm. but each watering I will add a little more.

But I still wanna say tie the highest branches down. It makes everything easier and more productive too - cant go wrong.

Buy what dude?
I use random old shirt+tape. Cut into thin strips.

Used tape instead of thread before too (just fold it along the sides so there's no exposed stickyness

well here are the pics... I am gogin to have to switch them over to my flowering room now cause they are getting to big for my veg room.. I could not even finish tieing down two of the girls cause I would not be able to fit them in the room

also just wondering I found on one leaf a white liquid'ish stuff..is that powdery mildew??  its been a lot more humid in my grow room around 60% and around 70degrees...I was nervous so I just ripped that leaf off just incase..

Let me ask a noob question, I thought the reason for ting was to pull the top/tops down was to make more bud sites, trick the plant to have more tops, more light on lower buds and  bal bal. There's alot all good i think right.  :whatdidyoudo:why didnt you tie any of then mane tops?

well I think im going to get my self a dehumidifier for my flower room when I move the plants to the flower room tomorrow.. think I might also stop at the grow shop and pick up something for mold/powdery mildew and make sure I kill what ever is growing just to be safe.

well the reason I did what I did was that all the branches were all bunched up together so there was no good light hitting all the new growth and the big fan leafs were blocking a lot so I just tied it down so that all the branches could get better light.. also I did a super cropping a couple times to get the under stems to grow up

once I get my flower room set up tomorrow and put my plants in under two 1000 hps lights i will be able to do more tie downs cause i ran out of room in my veg room
