I use flat white paint, it's quite a bit more reflective than mylar. Mylar sucks IMO. It reflects unevenly creating hotspots. As you can see I also put up white poster board to reflect back as well.

I can never see a scenario where mylar would be preferred to flat white paint or white poster board.

What about the inside of the tents?
That's shiny stuff isn't it? Probably not that thin mylar stuff, but still shiny.
Sorry - only seen pictures of them, but they look shiny rather than white.

That stuff is similar to mylar. I don't know why they don't use white It's more reflective, and diffuses hot spots.

And, I'd say fuck the feds too, but I don't get to be the one that says as far as the company goes. I was never one to follow the rules.
