I am doing a grow in an empty bedroom. I have am using 3 600W HPS lamps. Here is my problem: I am entering the end of week 5 of my 8 week flowering cycle and I noticed a light was left on interrupting the 12/12 cycle. The light that was left one was not one of the HPS lights, but a light that is on the bedroom fan. The problem is I didn't catch it until 4am and the HPS went off at 730pm. I immediately turned the light off when I noticed it, but now I'm really worried since they will only receive 3 1/2 hours of darkness tonight. I am 3 weeks (about 25 days) from harvest. Should I finish the feeding schedule and monitor the plants or just end it now and save my expensive line of nutrients? Please help! I apologize if this is the wrong place to post, I am not familiar with this site and I signed up as soon as this problem occurred because I need some answers/opinions. This is my 5 grow and first time this has happened. For the record,I was not the one who left the light on. THANKS
I'll notify a mod and request that this be moved to the cultivation forum where it can get more views. With regard to the light cycle, just keep going ahead as if it never happened. It is possible that some of your plants might go hermie, but depending on the genetics, you'll probably be okay. You didn't say how many plants you've got going, but from now on, check each one from top to bottom every day for male flowers. If you find nanners, pinch them off. I honestly think you should be able to finish them as planned.

12 plants in the crop. Thank you I honestly didn't know where to post it, it took me 20 mins to find out how to make a post at all so when I did find it, I just wanted to get it up. Thanks a lot I will be checking daily I just would love to hear more , surly somebody has made this mistake before.
And just FYI....I think you will be fine if this only happened once. Repeated right exposure during the dark cycle will stress your plants and have a higher percentage of hermorphadites. Just keep your cycle the same and your dark cycle back on schedule. And I think you will be safe with your little "hiccup".
