You grind em in a coffee grinder put the grounds in a cup boil water and poor it over the pods let em sit for 10 min strain and repeat with fresh water. One of my fav drugs of all time.

Yeah, pretty enjoyable.
The dried pod business has apparently gotten much more sketchy since back when I started. You used to be able to get them from reputable vendors on ebay until they shut that down. Then everyone started their own sites and orders started getting shorted, lost, and different sized/ type pods than you had ordered.
Everything from what I have heard has said that poppies arent worth while trying to grow unless you plant tons of them and have a sizable area to harvest from

Don't they grow wild basically everywhere? There's people in the marketplace over in the shroomery with seeds. I was thinking just topping a bowl with the dried goo from the fresh pods. I know eventually it can be heroin or morphine which I'm not interested in but wonder what drawbacks come from the opium like that.

Poppies are extremely easy to grow, that wasnt my point. And most wild poppies are not opiate-containing. So you would need to find a sizable area of land, plant your crop, hope someone else doesnt realize what they are and jack your crop from you, then go harvest them all the pods at the end of the grow season.
It's do-able for sure, but I was trying to make you understand that just a patch of them in your backyard or something isnt going to give you any kind of yield

Don't pack it on top of a bowl opium is too sensitive to be smoked like that. You gotta put it on foil and chase the dragon, or put it in a meth pipe.

It takes a long time of daily use to get addicted man you'd need to do it for at least a month straight if you've never done it before.

Cool I figured as much still never hurts to know just what I'm doing before getting into something people do get hooked on and can have unpleasant withdrawals from. I know California poppy and papaver grow like mad in certain areas around here.

I dont know about that... you can develop a "taste" for the drug after only a couple uses
It's definitely something to be careful with it is definitely a nice buzz

ill just leave it as something i stumble accross evey spring and enjoy. maybe nature is making a point by needing so much. i think my magic garden is diverse enough as it is i dont need to throw poppies in there too. hows the come down if any?

Mild comedown but ull get an urge to redose, it's stronger the more you do it tho. For a while your get no redose urges at all.

Oh of course slow for sure if at all. You hear about life's ruined with stuff from them but there's not a lot of real testimony about responsible use of raw natural opium now a days. Even erowid didnt really answer my questions, but I got months still before harvest time around here to get familiar.
