 Noob needs help with the basics.

Well I am extremely new to growing plants, I have mastered the technique of growing shrooms but I am done with that and would like to move to plants.
Well first of all, could anyone recommend me some books or videos that i should defiantly watch or read if I am going to start growing outdoors.
Also what are some necessary things you need to do to get some good buds?
Also when growing outdoors, do you have to water everyday or how often do you water?
Last thing, when growing outdoors, do you guys like the garage bag technique (where you put all the soil and nutrition in a bag in the ground) or do you like to just try to add nutrition to the soil itself.
Basically I am kind of clueless where to start out at, I have watched a couple videos on youtube but I still dont feel like I am nearly ready to begin my grow.

Once you have a grasp of the basics, we're happy to answer questions you have about specific aspects of the process.
In terms of growing outside, I would dig out a hole and fill it with a soil mix you build yourself.
Watering should be done as the plant needs it, but outdoors that's going to vary constantly based on environmental factors. You don't want the roots to be wet at all times, so only water as the soil dries out.
Now go do some research, and get ready for Spring planting!
