sorry for a potential derailment, but if you're at all into cartoons definitely watch adventure time. its fun to watch episodes randomly, but there is a pretty significant universe built over the seasons. it sounds goofy, but its actually pretty deep 
as for oldies, hmmmmm. rockos modern life was always my favorite also tmnt.

Rockos Modern life was awesome. as was Ren and Stempie
The only cartoon I watch now is the new series of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," it's a fucking badass cartoon
And of course Southpark and the adult cartoons. But Star Wars is the only "kids," one that I enjoy
