Sounds like you need to bring him a real bag of soil and tell him to use both side by side and watch the difference. I just opened a bag of miracle grow organic soil and it was all peat moss from the looks of it. I got it for some tomatoes but wanted to put some clones in soil for the person they are going to. Not one pebble of perlite in it. Stuff like that does not work well at all for plants that are going to preform. That is more like the house plant, don't want to water it all the time cause it's not going to be growing fast type of soil. Explain that to him. If he wants to go miracle grow, he needs to tack in some perlite for drainage/air otherwise that stuff stays water logged and roots don't grow very well from compaction. He's just gonna need to learn to man up and buy some real soil.

Haha... he'd never go for LED's... he won't spend anything other than what he makes by selling. The little bit of spare meds he's got, and that is barely enough to pay half his electric, much less buy more equipment with it... I swear, one of these days, I'm just gonna have to go gift him a butt-load of equipment and say "Look, Tim! You need to get better harvests. With this, it'll definitely happen. Now USE IT!!!" It might work... we'll see...

i'll put it against your led any day, don't care how many watts you're packing.

Put your pistol back in your holster son, your within city limits. Seriously too many variables for a 2 person comparison. It's hard to compare HID to LED even when it's done side by side by the same person for the fact that other variables change, and that there is more experience with one than the other.

this guy has got some great looking stuff, and it's all really small lol. 21oz soda bottles cut down to 16oz with a nice cola, small but nice.
time to scourer the entire thread for specifics and information...
