How do I use FoxyProxy? Tor proxy network with firefox?

I've gotta do some shit right now and I need a proxy for it to avoid getting pissed at.

Anyone know how to use FoxyProxy? Do I have to setup a specific server (ip address, etc) before I can use it? Cause it ain't working.

I'd like to use the Tor network, btw, and with firefox. So if there's a better thing than FoxyProxy, let me know.

http://www.torproject.org/docs/tor-doc-windows.html.en

click on the link that says torbutton or something like that in the configuration area.

Restart firefox and it should work it does for me thanks for the proxy name.

I added the plugin, but how exactly does it work? does it automatically just block your IP from being traced or generates a new IP every time you start your browser? or whats

Seems you have to add the plugin *and* download the Tor program. They're freeware and spy/ad free, plus take little CPU and space - so go for it.

Then you just need to leave Tor running in the background and enable Tor browsing in your browser plugin when you want anonymous. It's slow as hell, because it sends your traffic through a few other servers/computers to make it anonymous - but it works. Just don't use it all the time.

Thanks, I just noticed the little "tor disabled" at the bottom of the screen. I dont know when ill need it but I suppose it could come in handy :smirk:
