A friend of mine is working on the methery.org, it should be online in the next 60 days or so. it will feature complete information on how to run & manage a meth lab, information regarding meth, community forums etc.

i like speed. i have done meth about 30 times in the past 10 years, and like it better than coke, because of the duration.
meth-heads on the other hand...
they are another story.
it is a great drug for OCCASIONAL recreational use if you like speed. but the people who get addicted are usually...well, dumb.
the thing is, you can't say anything about meth you can't say about coke. the major difference in the two, from my experience is that coke lasts an hour or so and meth lasts about 12 hours. crack is terrible, IMO because it lasts about 5 minutes.
plenty of drugs have a great abuse potential, and meth is no different. the government puts out the same bullshit it does for every drug, saying that you will lose all your teeth, get hooked, and die after one use, but it's really not the case. its like running over a girl on a bike in a drive through.
i have done it, i will do it again if i get ahold of any. i usually don't do it more than once or twice a year, and have not gotten to the point where i feel i would.

i agree in some ways, but at the same time i would probably say that the % of meth users that are addicts is probably higher than any other drug besides maybe crack
and in my experience, ive found more casual crackheads, then casual methheads

part of the problem these days may be the demonization of meth leads mostly only people with addictive personalities to it.
erowid says that in the 70's it's prescription name was methadrine. i have heard song lyrics and literary refrences (hunter thompson, but still) to methadrine and seem to think that it wasn't this way before the government stepped in and decided to "take control of the epidemic".
now that i think about it, most of the occasional users i know are people who were using it before the big meth scare started. i even knew a guy who cooked a couple of times, but just held onto what he had for a couple of years, using every now and then, so he didn't have to deal with dealers.
