Worthwhile switch from Safari to FF3 for Mac users who weren't thrilled with 2 on OS X.

what are you talking about? there is not better mainstream browser for OS X than firefox. if you are using safari kill yourself.

Wbkit > Gecko. I like Firefox for it's extensions and features, but Safari w/ Webkit renders so much faster.

That would be subjective opinion. I thought Safari 3 was a stronger offering than FF2 for OS X (10.4.9 and 10.5). And unless I was doing web development I used Safari 3 until FF3 beta.

I just downloaded FF3 earlier this morning. I about have it all setup although some of my add-ons arent compatible yet.
Its very clean though

Havent really noticed any NEW features yet. The layout is a bit different, it looks a bit more user-friendly.
The only add-ons im using now is the weather one, foxytunes, and morning coffee.

Care to be bit more specific? How was it shit.
Aside from the occasional Javascript and even more rare rendering issues it was fast to load from start and fast to load each page. Easily beat FF2 in terms of rendering speed.
It worked for all the sites I frequented. So I'm not sure how you qualify it as a piece of shit?
Safari 3 was a pretty hefty improvement. And with exception to my Student Access site for Uni all my sites worked fast and clean on it.

Yea Safari is far from shit. Much better than IE7 and Opera imo. webkit is superior (in terms of rendering speed) to gecko as well.
