This will be my first grow attempt. Just looking to get my feet wet and maybe at best have enough harvest for a little personal use. I will be using bag seed. I want it to be low key so I am building a grow box out of this hallowed out speaker box.
I am an idiot when it comes to wood work and anything carpentry really. So always assume I don't know. My question is how the Heck do I cut through this to make a door. Currently the box is made out of 3/4" PLYWOOD that is all held in place by those little blocks on each wall. How can i make a clean access for this and with what tool ?
I have just ordered a 65 Watt - CFL - 300 W Equal - 6500K Full Spectrum Daylight - CRI 80 - 52 Lumens per Watt. Also I will stick two 26w cfl 6500k lights with it. Sound good for such a small box ?
Well my jigsaw shit the bed. I am just going to use the front speaker hole as my access. Right now I have just started getting my idea for the box. I am going to paint the inside flat white.
Now as far as the holes for vents do I just need a regular hole saw to make those cuts! I am going to pick up 2 computer fans tomorrow.
As for the lighting situation I don't know what to do. I was gonna use a power strip with plug in sockets but the power strip doesn't fit installed horizontally. Can they be arranged going down the strip vertically? Or what other option for fixtures do I have?
