Bushmaster tips?
    #607934 - 02/02/12 12:15 AM (12 years, 1 month ago)

Hi i have a small bottle of bushmaster i used on a rather small hydro grow a couple years ago. My grow was unsucessful, I stick to soil now. Anyways i figured why not break out the bushmaster and give it a try, i hear it shaves two weeks off flowering time and that sounds amazing. Anyways does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about applying the bushmaster. I was thinking maybe 2ml a gallon. And i believe i am not susspose to use any other nutes while using this such as my big bloom (i use the 3 foxfarms nutes). Then would I flush it with straight water a couple days later, or just begin my flowering nutes? Any tips on bushmaster or suggestions on how to apply it would be great thanks!

The entire point of bushmaster is that it makes the plant skip the stretch phase.

Oh I thought that meant it doesnt strech durring that time(branches out instead) my mistake.

Is there any reason not to use it ? why doesnt everyone?

Wow really ?6 week flowering time on a 8 week strain just like that?

out of curiosity, does anyone know it's mode of action, and why it makes plants so sensitive to light and nutrients?

Only suggestion I have is be careeeeeeeeful with that shit. I've heard horror stories about really bad burn.

I also suggest reading through this before you make the decision to use it...

http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=221650

Quite a wall of text, but could potentially be vital to your health. Personally, I didn't read too far into it...I just stopped using Gravity because I didn't feel like it helped all that much anyway.

Worth mentioning, because it seems like most people are unaware of the potential poisons they're using on their plants.

Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

The only thing i saw specifically related to bushmaster was this, Bushmaster: 271ppm Paclobutrazol. There was a link to an article but I had to sign up at that site to read it. Anyways after reading online a little bit about what Paclobutrazol is it didn't seem to harmful or dangerous though like that article suggests, although they may have been referring more to other nutes such as gravity. In fact it was described online to do exactly what bushmaster does. Mainly all I have read from searching on bushmaster though is stuff like "Ohhh Ive heard bad stories", or "it worked wonders for me". But Im hoping I can get some advice from someone that has used it, good or bad. And if it worked well how did you apply it?
Thanks for that article though it gave me something to think about, also has me second guessing gravity already for my next grow.

I quit using all those products a year ago, after reading claims of possible health risks.
Since then they have changed the dosing recommendations on the bottles.
But Gravity, and bushmaster are basically the same thing in different concentrations.

Since I've quit using them I've seen an increase in resin product.

But here's a little something you may want to read.

Well damn I wish I asked this before yesterday. I got a $200 speeding ticket going to pick up my bushmaster from a friends. And after reading that I don't believe I'll be using it, what a waste! I bought it two years ago before that came out, so my dosing may be incorrect as well. I have a small space so I figured since I already had bushmaster it would be useful but oh well I'll stick to the usual light training, wanna keep my plant extra low this grow to have a good distance from the light since my grows a little hotter then I would like
