You do realize most auto strains start flowering around 3 weeks after the seed pops right?
With this in mind why waste money on lights, just start outside.
As for the lights, imo they are worthless for anything beyond seedlings.

I seee.. well i plan on starting in the next week or two. and its not cold.. but its still gets a bit chilly at night. I just dont want to stress them.

I have noticed from person experience a autoflower "veged" indoor under HID lighting and then brought outside will most certainly yield more.

Totally disagree. I use only one of the exact same shop lights for my mothers. Work great to keep them from growing too damn fast and having to trim shit off for no reason all the time.

Thanks for the replies, and I only plan to use two of those 4200k floro's to veg 4 auto flowers in a 3x3 closet, 3 weeks before it begins to get warmer so I have no risk of sudden frost (weather has been unseasonal).
Someone mentioned why don't I just do indoor all the way with the autos, I cant risk having the smell from flowering. And why not just do them outdoors? I want them out there least time as possible, reduce chance of animals or thieves getting them.
So plans are..3 weeks inside under 2 4200k floros/ whatever elts light i can manage the cram in there. Then the other 5-6 weeks outside finishing up. Once I begin i will ofcourse start a detailed grow log.

remember you need to acclimate to the sun dont just chuck them out after being raised under floros.

4 26 watt GE Daylight CFL's 6500K, 1610 lumens 100watt equivalent. This is good, yes? Ive always grown outdoors from start in past, just now my situation is different and this will be my first indoor grow.

You'll need to wing them into the sunlight.
You would do this by exposing it to the sun in short periods increasing over time.
I recommend day one under the sun be 1 hr, then placed back under the flouros for the rest of the light period, and add 1 hr per day under the sun over the next 16 days and you should be good to go.
