How many beers on a drinking night?

OK, how many beers do you drink when you "go out" to get drunk. When its your goal to get drunk, I don't mean when you have 2 or 3 with dinner, I mean when your only plan is drinking.

I guess also mention the kind of beer you generally drink, because some are much stronger than others.

I don't want this to be a competition, please just be honest. If you were going to the store to buy yourself beer, would you get 6, 12, 18 or 30?

Honestly: I never count.


If I'm getting it for myself, the amount I buy is dependent on my mood. There are days where I buy a 40 oz or two, or id rip apart a 24 pack solo. Never one or two beers.

Well I don't actually "count" either. My buddy and I usually get a 30 and I assume we split it pretty even. We drink at about the same pace.

I did sorta count yesterday, because I was wondering if I could get a 12 pack for myself and be what I considered drunk, and I decided I'd probably need to get 18 if I wanted to be drunk drunk. :shrug:

A lot of people keep pace with us, and a lot of people just can't do it. I'm thinking its probably the company I keep though.

~12 on a regular drinking excursion.  More or less depending on the situation though.  Mostly ales and stouts.

I've gone through a case completely to myself before which is 24. And those were coronas. I don't know what my limits are for beer. I can drink beer all night and not black out or anything serious. I'm just afraid of causing myself alcohol poisoning and not know it :laugh: Maybe I've had 40+ (keg and bottles) one night but that was ages ago. I haven't had beer for a while now. 

If I stop drinking beer it's only cause I run out or everyone else is passed out.

Which is why beer is awesome. I can get a great buzz and not have to worry about puking, blacking out. Or becoming a complete dumbass while buzzed. And seafood tastes amazing while having a good beer!

Liquor is a different story though

We had a 30 Beer Challenge back in like January.

My buddy got to like 26, I think I only got 22 down.

My problem is that I usually smoke some weed, and once I do that, I realize how tired I am/should be. And then I end up falling asleep like 2 hours later lol.

i don't buy beer from the taverns/clubs usually.  Id rather buy a handle of captain and do the deed cheaply before going out.  I just bought 1.75 liters of a spiced rum called Admiral Nelson.  gonna get plastered in an hour or two.  everyone i know loves beer.  i really don't like it at all.

I don't even know how much liquor I drink. I do some shots and have some mixes, but my main drinks are beers. I don't like soda, and drinking straight liquor from a cup has never gotten me anywhere I wanted to go, so I stick to beer.

Gin and tonic is real nice though.

What kind of pisswater beer are you drinking where you need 18 of them to get drunk? Buy some GOOD microbrews at like 6-8% each and drink a 6 pack. So much tastier, and a way nicer drunk.

If I'm drinking 5% like 2, if lighter like 2. But then again I never drink only beer, I think it all tastes horrible.

I drink Rum (Captain Morgan, I'll do Private stock/Silver/Spiced/100/Tattoo in that order), Whiskey (not Evan williams is pretty much my only restriction), Tequila (Cabo Wabo is what I get when I'm buying), etc more often. I usually take more shots than I should. I get pretty shit faced on liqueur on D&D night (Especially when I'm the dungeon master).

Yeah, I do drink pretty watered down beer.

Rolling Rock is my favorite and its 4.5% abv. I do drink OE a lot too, I usually get 4 40's which is 6.1%, so thats about 13 canned beers. I guess if that came in cans I could get by with a 12 pack.

For fuck sake, please do yourself a favor and buy some microbrews. I get sad just at the thought of you drinking 4 40's in a night.

I never have more than 3 or 4 beers in a night unless im at a friends house and they bought some shitty water beer

when I go out and plan on drinking Ill usually pick up a 6 pack of some sort of microbrew, preferably around 7+%, give a couple to friends and sip on the rest, maybe smoke a bit

not to say i wont go ham on occasion, but when I do alcohol will not be my drug of choice
