flushing
    #592281 - 10/15/11 12:56 PM (12 years, 5 months ago)

I can not find the thread where it was talking about flushing. I am flushing with reg water, but what I need to know is should I ph the water that I'm flushing and/or do I ph water almost to a 7 because of the acid that may be in the soil.

I've never really thought about this, but for what it's worth, I would recommend using neutral pH (~7) water when flushing.  I personally use water that is passed through a reverse osmosis system for the pre-harvest flush.  Thankfully, I haven't had to do an emergency flush in quite some time!

If you're feeling lazy, you could probably just pH the last part of the flush. If you're gonna run 3 gallons through, just pH the last gallon.

In soil, I never bothered with pH, especially when flushing. But I'm sure its better to monitor it before somethings wrong. Better safe than sorry really, pH all of it if you have the time.

Of course it's happening inside your head.
Why should that mean it isn't real?

I feel bad that I feed my girls so much nutes that it looked almost like the nutes that I poured in. (entirely tooo much nutes)Well, I used the method that I got from this site. I put them in the tub and flushed them with water ph to about 6.7 to 7. The smell of my girls started comming back instantly. I flushed untill the the water draing was clear well off clear do to dirt. I have not opened the door and flicked the lights today, but I'm exspecting good aroma and maybe better looks. Just one more thing I need to know is do I have to flush again or is it up to how they react to the last flush. what the case thank you all for the advice.:thumbup:

test the ph of the soil then repeat if needed should be around 6.5/7.0
jst catch some of the run off when flushing or test with a meter

Really hard to help without a little more information...

Can we get some pictures?  Or at least answer these:

What medium are you growing in?

If soil, what type / was it fortified?

Is this indoor/outdoor, what kind of lights?  How far are your plants from the lights?

What nutrient types and schedules were you using?  When did you start feeding?

What were the problems you noticed?  Where on the plant did they occur?

What have you done since you noticed the problems?  How long has it been?  Improvement?

ok Im going to spray the fan leaves as soon as I turn the lights on  and take ur advice  and not spray them again till Im about to turn them off I trimmed off all the yellowing and browning leaves someone told me that would be the right thing to do so the energy focus can be on the ones doing well.

will it stunt my flowering development if I start my plant to flowering while my fan leaves are not opening on the newer ones? My plants are already bushy and tall but they still stunt from a previous definency?

no not cannabis fan leaves but i must reserch that lol
i am using a leaf from a weed called broad leaf dock (docking leaf) if ya make tea out off it, it sapose have loads of phosphorus for making good roots and seeds  and potassium for flowering, you want the plant to think its making seed but realy its making emply seed sacks ie bigger buds, theres loads of plants and weeds to make tea from like stinging nettles an comfray check out link ive posted here  http://www.growery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/445679

and i can find that thread you posted try putting it on you tube then posting the link
