Is powdery mildew a big problem if there's some spotting on fan leaves with about 5 weeks left to go? Will it kill the plant? or reduce yield? or render buds unsmokable?
Also...a random knuckle appears on the stem. then a brown ring appears around the knuckle. then the stem comes right off at the ring, leaving brown dead ends.. from what i've found it sounds like lack of water, but there was no indicative wilting or anything..

Yes it's a big problem if you have it and have 5 weeks left and dont TREAT it!
It can kill the plant if untreated.
It can and WILL reduce yield if not treated.
I would NEVER smoke a bud that I know to have ANY type of mold on it. And nobody should, but some people are fiends and will smoke anything If I won't eat a moldy piece of bread I sure as SHIT am not gonna SMOKE or eat any buds or food made from moldy buds.
