I was having a discussion with a non drug user and argued with them that they are in fact the minority. Almost everyone I know uses drugs at least once every six months most once a month and a good half on a regular basis what is your experience.

well if you count alcohol then they are the minority. If you count illegal drugs then I would say we are. IMO it's prolly close to 40 % drug users not including legal drugs.
Also the poll is invalid cause it doesn't have STAL.

yes, i count alchohol, so I'd say 95% of people use something alchohol or other.
without alchohol, between 50-75%
believe it or not, there probably is a 25% range of people that don't use drugs.

The legal status of the drug is irrelevant, any psychoactive chemical is a drug. whether it be meth, caffeine, or mary jane.
Considering most of the population in the US drinks coffee, soda, etc, the guy that considers himself a "non drug user" probably really is a drug user...

if we are talking about the United States, everyone uses drugs, probably way over 90%, from prescription drugs, to alcohol, to nicotine, to caffeine.... etc. to me it makes no difference if they are legal, illegal,or prescribed. they are all drugs.
i find it hard to believe that any one person could go 6 months without having an alcoholic drink, a soda, a cigarette or joint, chocolate, coffee, any kind of pharmaceutical... etc. not to mention all the other 'street' drugs. drugs are all around us (at least in the United States).
