will removing male flowers/preflowers on a male plant harm it at all?
how is it possible for flowers to appear before shorter photoperiods are induced?
is there any chemical which would revert male flowers to female or increase THC content?

a male is just a male, when growing from seed i believe sex is all a pre-determined thing. unless of course they are feminized seeds.

what about mechanically removing male flowers/preflowers? will the plant continue to veg?
also how is it possible for a plant to show flowers on a 20/4 photoperiod?

Why are you growing a male?, unless it's actually a hermaphrodite...in which case there is a product to reverse it...Dutch Masters Reverse.

Pinching off the flowers won't harm the plant.
A plant will show preflowers once it reaches sexual maturity.

I don't know, I've never kept a male around long enough in veg to find out. If its at risk of pollinating plants you don't want pollinated, I'd move it out of the room.
I assume if it was in veg, and you pinched off the preflowers, it wouldn't grow any back.

I have grown a male out for the reason of pollen collection. It is fine to pinch pre flowers, but I will still get it away from my females. Also, beware of pollen on your fingers from pinching male flowers.
If you don't want to collect pollen, I would chop it.
