What do you fall asleep to? I run my box fan on 1, my music sleep station on shuffle/loop (usually iron and wine and boards of canada, the radio dept, brian crain) and rain sounds on *steady rain* and it has to be pitch black other than my night light which is blue

Either my tv or music thats playing on my laptop.
Also the a/c is just above my window outside and the subtle humming noise from that actually helps me sleep.

I listen soft music all the time, mostly Bob Marley, Simon & Garfunkel, Supertramp, Pink Floyd, anything smooth really.
Edit: Has to be in english, because when it is a french band, my brain just tries to focus on trying to understand the lyrics and it totally has the opposite effect, keeps me awake

I stay up until 3-5am strictly for the silence. It's such a relaxing time of the night because of the lack of activity anywhere. There's so much clutter and noise going on that it's hard to concentrate sometimes.
The buddhists said between the hours of 4-7am are the best times to work on your body/psyche. Something which I can agree with.
I sleep with the company of a candle flame.

In my perfect world I like complete silence. But since I've had upto 4 fishtanks in my room for the past few months I've grown accustom to sleeping to the sweet sounds of multiple air pumps and the occasional splash

Silence is good!  Then you start to hallucinate sounds. I always hallucinate visuals too.  Anyway, silence, fans, music, and sometimes tv is okay too.

I wish I could remember what silence felt like. I've had really shitty tinnitus for as long as I can remember. I've damaged my hearing with explosions and concerts, etc too much over the years and now all I hear is ringing.
I run a fan 24/7 because it helps drown out the ringing, but if I focus I can still hear it (but why would I focus on it, right?).
I'd really like one of those rain noise makers.

I usually try and find a nice parking lot with some shade, throw the solar reflector on the dash and sit in the passenger seat reclined fully.

I saw cky last summer and I swear to god I thought I was gonna be deaf in the morning. My ears were ringing for the next two days i couldn't hear shit.
Its fine now but i still hear ringing when its silent (i'm sure its not only from cky lol)
I cant fall asleep without the tv on and i usually have a fan on too, i like my room freezing so i always sleep in sweatpants
