a FOAF plant some old seeds (2 years old) and the only two who sprouted are female. my question is if female seeds have a longer germinative power.

Yes, I planted 30 seeds over normal bag seed I've had for about 6 months and only 20 sprouted. Then again, there is no way to tell how old the bud was they came from. Good seeds can last years though, and some were made to never sprout from their original pollination. It should be fun growing an antique though =) Grandaddy slurp.
