i use the IFL button all the time for shroomery but growery dont work

links in threads with pr might help. Then again I am sure if ythan uses the rel=nofollow

A link on the homepage of the shroomery would most likely get it on the search engine results, since the shroomery has a decent google pr.

Links in posts, signatures and profiles actually do get a rel=nofollow, so it won't help our page rank. But it will get more people over here, so it's still a great idea. :grin: Anyway the Growery banner we have in rotation should count as a link for PR purposes. What would help more is putting a link in your sig on a wide range of other sites. But I'm just saying, I'm not asking anyone to shill for the Growery. :wink:

BTW we did get picked up by Google, we just aren't the #1 result for "growery" yet (foiled by Shroomery's own pagerank, blast!)

I would but it's not so simple. Since you can't exclude strings in a regex, it first make local links relative (shroomery.org/forums => /forums) and then adds nofollow to any links which still contain "http://". So we'd have to rewrite the link markup code to not use preg_replace. Not impossible but you can see why I didn't bother.
