As it says im in the UK and we use standard e40 mogul base so my light huds are E40. Now from anybodies experience do they know if American E39 will fit UK E40. I know one does fit the other but not sure which way as searches have come up as a controdiction.
Trying to get a 6500k 250w metal halide bulbs.

check the watts, volts, and amps I would not try something like that the power supply is different in the UK then it is in the US. If you dare to try good luck don't stand near the bulb when it comes on, it could do anything from work to explode in your face or start an electrical fire in your place. There is a reason we use different moguls I don't know how the power is supplied to the UK but most bulbs are matched to certain ballasts, and all bulbs sold here say what ballast they can be used in, if all else fails call the manufacture. Even if the bulb works will it still be in the same spectrum your looking, or the life of the bulb could decline.
