I thought you guys might like these few shots I took. Basically I got some uber crystalline molly, took a microsized chunk and disolved it in ethanol on a glass slide. The looked at it using a piece of LCD screen plastic that turns very dark when crossed at 90 degrees (if you have polarizing glasses look at what happens when rotating them in front of your computer screen)

Wow, pretty awesome.
Out of curiosity, what did you use to get such clear pictures? I'm looking to build/buy a USB microscope that would be at about 100x...but yours looks so nice!

I used a pretty old microscope and 7mp camera. The scope is a WWII design  but its pretty functional despite its age.
I had to reduce the brightness a bit and improve the contrast/saturation so that background noise from the light source was minimized.
In order to make the trippy crystals I disassembled an old tetris game, the kind that has a liquid crystal screen. Just find the polarizing plaque (its easy) and put your crystals between two orthogonally crossed plaques. Kinda like a sandwich which you observe with the microscope. Even better put the second plaque between the microscope objective and eyepiece. This improves the image quality.

Just went to get another gram of molly and my friend threw in some K for free. He said to use it for the trippy crystallography pics 
He also gave me a chunk of skunk #1 for free from his personal stash even though he had no for sale.
