Broken 1000w Switchable Ballast

So I was curious if anyone out there has experience fixing these.
I have a Sunsystem 1000w Switchable setup. I have been using it for at least 6 years now with now problem. It's been on 24 hour constant cycle for my mother and I came down a few days ago to find the light off. So the funny thing about this is that when I found it the glass on my hood was shattered, but the bulb itself was intact. I switched out the ballast and the bulb work fine now, no issues there. But the ballast is not turning on at all.
Any thoughts on this at all?? This is not a digital ballast and I have heard of people fixing these on there own. Anyone have some good links maybe??

Depends on what finally went out on it. But the only reason I responded is because the lens shattering but the bulb being intact, that is fucking weird!!

Doesn't cover switchable but it may help.

Many ballasts come with a warranty (most of I've seen are covered up to 3 years)

I didn't read the original post correctly. I'd say your ballast is gone for good. 24/7 for 6 years is bound to take it's toll in one way or another.

I have always been under the impression that the great thing about your standard ballasts is that you can repair them when they break down.
