I dont know if everyone does, I know felons and people associated with law enforcement cant serve. Court seems like the one place where I might feel paranoid...... even though it's practically legal and I'm a med patient. I once heard of a kid serving on teen court (juvenile probation court) in florida that went a couple times high on shrooms, that kid was a fucking nut though.

You go through a screening process and if you show partiality they won't put you on jury duty. Who knows though. Could be a murder case or something that would actually be cool to attend. My friend got jury duty and was on an attempted murder case, but he ended up getting drunk the night before they were supposed to give the verdict and didn't make it.

my grandfather had to do it, and the case was a tree fell and killed a dude and they had to come to a conclusion of what happened. apparently he had to look at gruesome photos of the poor dude.
think he was just unlucky.

No they will want you to dress respectfully ie a dress shirt and slacks. You may not even make it through the jury pool they will interview and screen you all. Then each atty will choose jurors they want .Cahnces are youll be dismissed first day

Some places allow re-scheduling. A friend of mine had to go in last month and he just smoked bowls in his car during a break.
I'm not sure if they still pardon people for the racist thing, but the dude's dad just ignored all their requests to attend for some 15yrs. Accoring to him they just give up after a while.

Good I dont really want to be a juror, so if dressing like I always do gets me dismissed great.

They pay you for it, rather your fellow tax-payers pay you for it. Why not go get paid for nothing. I wouldn't mind paying a fellow growerite
