My friend want me to rent a house for him to grow weed? he said if anything happen and if I am not in the house, I won't get any trouble...sounds crazy but I dont know because he's a good friend of mine

How are you going to rent a house without your name on a lease? Sounds like he needs a patsy just in case the house gets raided.

I bet your friend recently watched a documentary called The Union, huh? The idea is to buy the house, then lease it out to someone who grows and as the owner you just claim ignorance. I have no idea how successful this shit is. I wouldn't want to do that. its a lot of trust to put into anotehr.

we are not buying the house... he just want me to rent it with my name on the lease...yeahh i know thats alot of trust but this is just not make any sense from what he said that i wont get any trouble even though my name will be on the lease...

wow, really?! Every apartment complex I've ever lived in requires all sorts of materials. They do credit checks, require 2 pay stubs all that kind of shit.

I have a slum lord and live in a split house, even still he had to see at least 1 SS number, and a ID.
But I think you got the ruling from the peanut gallery. Your friend is trying to use you to take the fall if he ever gets busted. I think you should re evaluate your friendships if this is what they ask you to do.

Id say you say sure! Get a fake ID and then give the landlord a lease with your "friends" name on it, so if it does get busted, he thinks hes home free but really the cops have a warrant out for his arrest.
