My step dad and I are going to be building a Lotus 7 kit car
Should be a lot of fun, we found a cheap engine hoist on craigslist the other day

Very very cool man, I would love to roll downtown in one of those. Ladies would be throwin their panties at me.

It should be quite the experience building a car. Sure they are kits and designed to be a relatively simple design but it will still be challenging, but it's going to be one badass car when it is finished up. Hopefully it wont take longer than 6 months for us to get started and get a good ways along with it
I am looking forward to the paint job, we have been discussing a lot of options.

Im a sucker for DIY of any kind. Sounds like a lot of fun. What is that going to cost? You have a shop of some kind?

Cost is all up to you depending on the quality of the parts, type of engine you go with.
Our estimates are somewhere in the 20-40k price range. Huge price range I know, but we havent really decided on too many of the minor things; like tire types and all that. We have mainly been trying to find cheap equipment that we are going to need to build the thing
Yeah, my stepdad used to have a plane (just a 2 seat bi-plane), so we have a huge plane hanger in the backyard where we are going to be building it
