What kind of system? I would say yes, once roots are poking through you need to do something with them.

Nice, yeah I'd go ahead. Remember 1/10-1/4 strength on the nutes for now.

I'd go to the system yes. But those plants aren't ready for nutes yet.

how far away is the lights? a fan blowing lightly is also good for seedlings i have found out. makes them stronger.

lampshadehelmet said: Yes you can use hps for all growth stages, you would have to adjust the distance from plants accordingly though.
I am not familiar with the bulb you are using and whether it is even suitable for growing plants(the osram 100w). But at first glance the seedlings appear light deprived and possible high temps. A spot light is going to generate a lot of heat compared to a simple cfl bulb.
You can do the seedlings under the hps just keep it far enough away not to be causing any heat damage as they can die very quickly while this young. With hps lighting your nodes will be farther apart than if you used more of a blue spectrum light but it will work very well.
90 degrees is high, not lethal but high. Ideal temps in my opinion are 74-80, and with CO2 slightly higher80-85ish. The high temps will cause some stretch and thinner leaves but by all means still yield well if everything else is in order. When you get to around 100 degrees and it stays there, your plants will suffer more dramatically.
Key word here is not lethal, they will be airy, and low potency. I had a round a few years back where I balanced in the 90's and ruined the whole crop.

The plants are still going to take more time then end of may most likeily. Even if you flipped right now, the plants won't flower till a certain level of maturity is reached. Usually thats around 20 days but can take longer.

Should be fast and fast to respond. 24 hrs won't hurt and you will get more growth but thats debatable. From what i have seen 18/6 makes them taller and more distance from node to node. 24 hr keeps them just shy of the 18/6 plant in height but with tighter nodes and a node or two more. I generally always veg 18/6 to save on electric but now that I think of it for some reason I left them on 24 going to go drop that right now.

Shut off by a act of nature or just shut off? PM me if it was shut off I will tell you how to turn it back on. If you don't pay withn 24 hrs of turning it back on it can result in a felony usually they come out to turn it off again if it goes back on your in a world of shit. This info for those that pay to late in the day for them to come out, not to defy utility companies you will get arrested!

they say 24 hrs makes it grow faster but other pplz say that the 18/6 has properties to make roots grow faster witch causes great plant growth. most will say that 18/6 saves wear and tare on equipment and cut electric costs. really it is all in your own preference. i go 24/0 for first 3 weeks myself then 18/6 then 16/8 till flowering or sex is determined.
juston how i operate.

Also it looks like you're still misting their leaves, even under the HPS. I would advise that you stop that during flower especially if you live somewhere with high humidity as it can cause budrot.
