Damnit, I'm doing all I can to get myself a 400w HPS setup. I've narrowed it down to 2 possible purchases:
Here we have choice A).

Here we have choice B).

Not a well known store HOWEVER, it is a digital switchable ballast, and comes with both a MH and HPS bulb.
 After shipping on HTGSupply, its the same price as the one on Amazon...

I also would go with B out of those two selections. 1. Because it has the digital ballast rather than the magnetic. These are more energy efficient and they run at a cooler temperature. 2. Because you get both the bulbs with the package...
But I also would agree with Muse, an air-cooled hood seems to be the best way to go, imo. This is the light I'm planning on ordering when I'm ready. I know its 1k, not 400, but you get the idea...

these are $300 but are also 1000w. they may have a 400w version for alot cheaper. they come with the bullbs and a air cooled hood +timer + hangers

Right, but after reading the reviews and emailing the company, waiting 7 days to hear back from them, I went with HTGSupply. They replied to my emails instantly and warrantee the bulb and ballast for a long time.
AND pay return shipping if its DOA.

They all make the electric bill go up. Most of them do the same precise thing. Their are many companies that make them. What could they be?
