Ok so I've got a shit ton of fairly dry shake I'm not totally sure what it weighs kuz I don't have a scale. A friend of mine told me it's actually really easy to do. Is there a way I can make hash out of all this shake?

Bud shake yeah it's worth the trouble. Fan leaves and non-bud shake really isn't worth the time.

Well sifting it would just be shaking it around over a screen like these
After that you are left with a pile of kief, which you can heat and press into hash if you like, or just smoke it
OR... another option is BHO, or butane honey oil, you can google how to do this but Im not going to half ass a set of instructions just in case you blow up and I am somehow held responsible
